Staff of the Cocoa Clinic have joined efforts to promote prostate cancer awareness by wearing specially designed T-shirts as part of activities marking Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September.
The initiative forms part of the Clinic’s broader campaign under the theme “Partners in Care: Through Diagnosis, Through Treatment, Together,” aimed at encouraging greater awareness, early detection and access to appropriate care.
The T-shirts serve as visible communication tools to stimulate conversations on prostate cancer and encourage men to take proactive steps towards screening and early detection.
As part of the month-long activities, the Cocoa Clinic is also offering daily prostate cancer screenings from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Cocoa Clinic Wellness Centre, COCOBOD Head Office-Accra and satellite clinics across the country.
Awareness talks are also being conducted across COCOBOD and its subsidiaries and divisions by Specialist Urologist, Dr. Maxwell A. Nyinah.
