COSSA-HEAD OFFICE DONATES MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO COCOA CLINICS

The COCOBOD Senior Staff Association (COSSA - Head Office)  has donated wheelchairs and medical supplies to Cocoa Clinics in Accra, Kumasi and Debiso to support healthcare delivery and improve patient care. 

The donation, which is the first of its kind by the Association, forms part of COSSA’s commitment to promoting the welfare of cocoa farmers, staff and the general public in healthcare through enhanced healthcare services.

Speaking on the initiative, Chairman of COSSA- Head Office, Mr. Issah Abdul- Razak stated that, the items would facilitate the smooth and convenient movement of patients within the clinics while enabling healthcare professionals to provide more efficient and effective services.

“The donation underscores COSSA’s dedication to supporting healthcare services within COCOBOD and reinforcing the organization’s broader commitment to the welfare of its stakeholders and communities”, he added.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Association, Mrs. Paz Owusu Boakye, Deputy Director, Human Resources, and a member of COSSA, emphasised the importance of corporate social responsibility and giving back to society.

She noted that such initiatives support vulnerable groups and create meaningful and lasting impacts with local communities. 

Mrs Owusu Boakye further highlighted that, investing in healthcare contributes to a healthy and productive workforce, which ultimately promotes the overall well-being and development of society.

Receiving the items on behalf of the beneficiary clinics, Dr. James Addo Tetteh, Senior Medical Manager at Cocoa Clinic, expressed appreciation to COSSA for the generous gesture. 

He assured the Association that, the donated items would be put to good use to improve healthcare delivery and enhance patients’ comfort across the facilities.
