REQUEST FOR BIDS - REHABILITATION OF COCOA SWOLLEN SHOOT DISEASE INFESTED FARMS IN SECTOR TWO (2) OF THE ADABOKROM COCOA DISTRICT OF GHANA

Date: 24th December 2024

The Government of Ghana has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Ghana Tree Crop Diversification Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Rehabilitation of Cocoa Swollen Shoot Disease Infested farms in Western North and Eastern Regions of Ghana. “For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.”

The Ghana Cocoa Board now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Rehabilitation of Cocoa Swollen Shoot Disease Infested farms in Sector two ( 2 ) of the Adabokrom Cocoa District of Ghana as detailed below:

Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” 5th edition - September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. 

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ghana Cocoa Board, Project Implementation Unit, first floor, Room 100 or via email address: [email protected] and inspect the Bidding document during office hours 09:00 to 16:00 hour at the address given below;

The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of GHS500.00. The method of payment is Cash and is to be paid at the Cocoa Board Cash Office, Cocoa House. The document will be sent by email to the respective bidders.

A Pre-Bid meeting will be held on 3rd January 2025 at 14:00, Board Room, 4th Floor. Cocoa House.

On or before 15th January 2025 at 10:30 am. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below:
Cocoa House, Board Room, 4th Floor. 41 Kwame Nkrumah Avenue Accra P.O. Box 933 Accra GPS CODE: GA-105-0260 on 15th January 2025 at 11:00 am.

All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of GHS2,432,908.64 from a Bank or a bid bond GHS7,298,725.93 from an Insurance Company for Lot 1 and GHS2,228,671.38 from a Bank and GHS6,686,014.14 from an Insurance Company for Lot 2. All bids should include three ( 3 ) copies and One ( 1 ) original and a softcopy on a pen drive.

All Bids must be accompanied by a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration.

Bidders are expected to fill out the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
