The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has pledged his unwavering support in the fight against the growing menace of cocoa smuggling in the region. In his capacity as Chair of the Regional and District Security Councils (REGSEC), Hon. Gunu assured stakeholders of his commitment to working collaboratively to address the challenge.
He made this pledge when he received a delegation from the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), led by Mr. Frank Amoah-Frimpong, during a courtesy call on him at Ho in the Volta Region.
Mr. Amoah-Frimpong, speaking on behalf of the Board and Management of COCOBOD, explained that the visit was to officially congratulate Hon. Gunu on his appointment, extend a warm welcome, and reaffirm the presence and operations of COCOBOD in the region.
