41ST NATIONAL FARMERS’ DAY CELEBRATION DULY LAUNCHED

Date: 18th October 2025

Ghana Cocoa Board and other stakeholders in the agricultural sector joined the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA), under the leadership of Hon. Eric Opoku, to officially launch the 41st National Farmers’ Day Celebration at the Ministry's forecourt in Accra, marking another milestone in recognising the resilience and contributions of Ghana’s farmers, fishers, and agricultural workers.

This year’s celebration will be held in Ho, Volta Region, from Monday, 1st December to Friday, 5th December 2025. As part of the week-long activities, a five-day Agricultural Fair will be organised to showcase innovations in crop production, livestock, mechanisation, fisheries, irrigation, and digital agriculture.

Hon. Opoku underscored the significance of the celebration, describing it as an important platform to honour the dedication of Ghana’s agricultural workforce to national development, food security, and economic stability.

The 2025 theme, “Eat Ghana, Grow Ghana, Secure the Future,” urges citizens to embrace local production and consumption to strengthen self-sufficiency and reduce dependence on imports.

It also reflects the government’s broader vision to transform agriculture into a key driver of inclusive growth, climate resilience, and national pride.
