COCOBOD COMMISERATES WITH FAMILY OF H.E. NANA KONADU AGYEMAN-RAWLINGS

Date: 30th October 2025

A delegation from Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), led by the Deputy Chief Executive in charge of Agronomy and Quality Control (A&QC), Dr. Francis Baah, paid a courtesy visit to the family of the late former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, to express their condolences following her passing in the later part of October, 2025.

Speaking on behalf of the Board, Management and staff of COCOBOD, Dr Baah, described the death of the former First Lady as a great loss to the nation, acknowledging the immense support COCOBOD received during the tenure of the late Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings as the President of the Republic of Ghana.

He added that the visit was also to honour the enduring legacy of both the late President and his spouse.

Dr Baah described Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings as a visionary leader whose remarkable contributions in the country continue to inspire many women in the cocoa sector.

As part of the visit, COCOBOD presented cartons of water and assorted drinks as a gesture of solidarity and support towards preparations for the final funeral rites of the late Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.

Dr Baah later signed the book of condolence as a symbolic and historical gesture to demonstrate COCOBOD’s solidarity with the bereaved family in their time of grief.
